![]() Now the final part, is the spotting range increase. Target acquisition increases the range that makes him actually visible to you (which like I said earlier, is already too far away. The ship isn't visible to you, but it does draw an outline on your minimap. You are at A, a teammate spots a ship at D. Basically, it's worthless because this range already far exceeds your gun range.Įxample. Second, it increases the range in which enemy ships spotted by your teammates will be visible to you, instead of just being drawn as an outline on the minimap. So let's get this straight.įirst and obvious, it increases torpedo detection range. Okay there is a lot of misinformation here. ![]() With this module, if your detection range increases by say +2 kms, then you would be able to see him/her training his/her guns at you & would have time to move away from the incoming shells.Ĭheck out my channel here: Edited Jby TheIndian_Panzer If he gets lucky, you get hit & at the least you don't know whats shooting at you. ![]() Say you have a firing range of 12kms & your concealment range( i.e you don't get detected until your distance from the enemy is less or equal than the range mentioned) is 13kms & the enemy whom you can view(without target acquisition) has a firing range of 18km & his/her concealment range is say 12km.now if you are at a distance of say 14kms from him neither can you fire at him nor can you see him but he can see & fire at you. It may seem useless but it isn't that way. Is this true? I haven't tested it and luckily haven't mounted it on anything yet, but if it is, wow what a useless waste of 2 million credits. a friend of me told me today apparently that's not the case and that it only increases the range you VIEW ships. I've been under the false assumption that it increases the distance at which enemy ships are detected. ![]()
